2nd of March
Brinsworth 0 v 10 Maggies
2nd of march took the maggies to an away fixture at Brinsworth Juniors. With a depleted squad the maggies soon took control of the game.
Smiler Sam Renshaw scored a hat-trick and so did his strike partner Harry Briggs.
One each from Connor Archer, Josh Nicholson, Chris Howard and Stan Bowles made the score a well deserved 10-0.
A very good performance from the team with an outstanding display from goalkeeper Nathan Thornhill.
24th of February
Maggies 5 v 6 Chapeltown
A lovely day for football down at the welfare, five minutes into the game 1-0 down. But two wonderful strikes from smiler sam renshaw and
chris howard made it 2-1 to maggies. A few lapses in defence and an unfortunate mistake by maggies keeper nathan made the half time score 4-2.
Maggies upped the tempo like we know we can and took the game to Chapeltown. another goal from rensh and another one from chris made it 5-4.
Chapeltown scored again but a brilliant free kick by Harry Briggs made it 6-5 and maggies couldnt find another to level the match.
Well done lads for a spirited second half performance.
2nd December
Maggies 4 v 2 Millmoor
Today's visitors to the windy city aka Miners Fortress were Millmoor Juniors the weather conditions were totally atrocious.
The Maggies started well due to a bit of uncanny weather with a clever solo effort by smiler Sam 1-0 up 2 superb corners taken by
Connor Archer resulted in 2 Goals with a bit of help from the wind 3-0 up Smiler grabbed his second and 17th of the season
just before half time to send us in 4-0 up.
Millmoor replyed swiftly 2 goals in 10 minutes in the second half put Maggies on the back foot
The lads had to dig deep and played some good football resulting in a couple of missed chances to hang on and win comfortably 4-2
Joe Rigg and Sam Timm were outstanding today keep it up boys !

25th November
Maggies 7 v 1 Darfield
A beautiful morning brought visitors Darfield Juniors to the miners fortress.
Darfield started very brightly but Maggies scored against the run of play a goal by smiler Sam (yep that man Renshaw again) Darfield deservedly drew level to go in at half time 1-1.
A tactical change by the management team again saw Joe Rigg move to left back and captain marvel (Timmy)
move to left mid spot.
A sparkling start by Maggies soon saw us 2-1 by a captain marvel goal .A Harry Briggs brace and superb effort by Chris Howard made it 5-1.
2 rattles of the post by young Stan Bowles and another shot saw the keeper save for Keiran Halfpenny to blow in from 6 inches out. Harry Briggs scored the seventh goal to complete his hatrick.
Final score 7-1
A quick mention to Josh Deane and Josh Nicholson for a superb second half performances

Trophy 5 v 2 Charnock
2nd round brought Charnock down to the miners. A well worked move in the first half saw a beauty of a header by Tom Hallows followed by a great strike by Connor Archer which was followed by a Sam Renshaw 25 yard lob (was it a shot or a pass?) into the roof of the net Charnock replied within the space of two minutes to see us go in at half time 3-1 up. A delightful ball by Joe Rigg set up a move by Connor Archer and Sam Renshaw (yep that man again) which set Connor Archer up for his second goal of the match.Sam Renshaw (again;;;;) got his second of the match to put Maggies 5-1 up Charnock got a consolation 8 minutes from time .a 5-2 final score sees the Maggies into the quarter finals of the trophy competition (well done to everyone today).

11th November Cup Tie
Greenhill 8 v 2 Maggies
3rd Round of the Tesco cup saw maggies travel to last seasons A Division Champions Greenhill
The first 15 mins started well for maggies but failed to find the back of the onion bag Greenhill upped the tempo and deservedly went into the break 4-0 up.
After the break the maggies couldn't find an answer to greenhills pace and gameplay and then maggies found themselves 8-0 down a goal from Josh Tomlinson and one from Harry Briggs made the final score 8-2 Sam Renshaw deserves a bit of praise for playing two roles during one game Striker and Centre half.

Manor Rangers 2 v 2 Maggies
A tricky fixture saw maggies with a depleted squad travel to manor rangers who are unbeaten so far this season.
First half was a tight affair which saw manor take the lead. A delightful through ball from Joe Rigg found Harry Briggs who lobbed the keeper to make it one all.
A well taken goal by manor saw them go in at half time 2-1.
A tactical decision by the management team who made 3 changes bringing josh dean on to right back and moving ryan jackson to midfield allowing
Sam Renshaw to partner Harry Briggs up front who scored the equalising goal.

Maggies 8 v 2 Brinsworth
Another home fixture brought visitors Brinsworth Jnrs to Beighton who have only lost 1 in 5 games.
Sam Renshaw soon opened the scoring for maggies and quickly made it 2-0.
5 mins later a blunder by the brinsworth keeper made it 3-0 after a chris howard shot went under his body
A lapse of concentration for 10 mins allowed the visitors 2 goals but a hatrick from harry briggs and a josh tomlinson volley made it 7-2 and sam renshaw completed his hatrick making it a well deserved 8-2 victory.
