Sunday 5th September 2010 

Magpies 4  v 8  Sheffield Rangers 

Although a bright sunny morning, the Magpies season started in a less than bright style,

going a goal down with virtually the first attack of the game. 

A slow start against a good attacking team saw the Magpies trail by 5 goals to nil by the end of the first game. 

The second game started much brighter for the Magpies with two brilliant goals first by Josh South and secondly by Brad Atkins. 

A strong belief that a result was possible ensued as the second half began with the Magpies leading  2 - 0. 

However three goals in succession saw Rangers put and end to this belief and retake a strong position in the game, 

Magpies weren't finished just yet though, and two further goals for the Magpies from Atkins and Josh Benns

gave positive hope of things to come for the rest of the season. 

A disappointing result for the opening game, but with some positives to take into our next games.
